features the best in Fresh Authentic Mexican Food in Clemson, SC and Easley, SC. El Jimador is a real Mexican experience that will forever change your expectations of Mexican food. Their chefs cook with only the best ingredients -- using recipes brought from Mexico.
El Jimador first opened in 2009 in the Clemson area with outdoor patios and carved wood interiors and benches.
Then most recently opened a location in Easley again using wood carvings and the addition of beautiful murals throughout. The murals throughout the restaurant show the daily life of a "real" El Jimador -- or farmer. The beautiful wood cavings, many brought over from Mexico, and are the traditional wood beamed style of both locations are almost a recreation or homage to the home that an El Jimador of farmer in Mexico would come home to.
An El Jimador is an experienced farmer who selects and cultivates the unique Blue Agave plant -- the raw material of true Tequila. It takes ten years of careful cultivation for the Blue Agave plant to reach maturity. It is then carefully hand picked and cropped -- it truly takes a fine eye to select the quality Agave which is used for Tequilas. Just as it takes a fine eye to select the right ingredients for the Authentic Mexican food prepared at El Jimador Mexican restaurants.
Some of the Specialties of El Jimador are Puerto Vallarta Fajitas -- Shrimp, scallops, imitation crab meat, bell peppers, onions and pineapple cooked in pineapple juice. Served with rice, beans, guacamole salad and flour tortillas. Or El Molcajete -- which is a combination of chicken breast, chorizo, rib-eye steak, cactus, jalapeño peppers and green onions sizzling in their special sauce. Guacamole that is made table side.
